Our story

The gifts worth remembering, gathered in one place.

littlefolk was born from a quiet frustration — that the most beautiful baby gifts were scattered across a hundred different shops, and there was nowhere to bring them together. So we made one.

Meet the founder

Hi, I'm Elise.

I'm a young mum of two, based in New Zealand, and I couldn't seem to let this idea go.

When I was pregnant, I noticed something. Every beautiful brand had its own little registry tucked away on its own little site. But nowhere brought them together. Nowhere let you build one list of the leather booties from one shop, the hand-knitted cardigan from another, the heirloom blanket from somewhere else entirely.

And I noticed something else. The gifts I most wanted weren't the stacks of practical maternity bits — those, I'd quietly buy myself. The gifts worth a registry were the slightly pricey, slightly special pieces. The kind only grandma would think to buy. The kind you'd keep, photograph, pass on.

So I started littlefolk. A place that brings the traditional and the unique into one calm, considered list — and makes it easy for the people who love you to give well.

What we believe

The traditional, the unique, and the truly beautiful — together for once.

littlefolk isn't a department store wishlist. It's a place for leather goods, hand-finished knitting, the heirloom pieces, and the popular brands you already love — all in one registry, chosen with the same eye for quality.

Curated, not crowded

A small, considered edit of the brands and makers we'd choose ourselves. Nothing on littlefolk is here by accident.

Quality that's meant to last

Pieces made to be kept, washed gently, and handed down. Fewer things. Better things.

Registry-first, always

Built around how mums actually want to receive gifts — one beautiful list, one simple link, from any shop you love.

A sister to HomeFolk

Where it all began.

As long as I can remember, I've loved interiors and entertaining — the way a beautifully set table makes an evening, the way a quietly chosen object lifts a room. That love became HomeFolk.

Then the babies arrived. And I wanted that same considered eye for their bedrooms, their wardrobes, the things tucked in their drawers. littlefolk is HomeFolk's little sister — the same belief in fewer, better things, only smaller.

"Fewer, better things — for the smallest of folk."

A quiet idea, made with care.

"For the people who keep asking, what do you need for baby?"

Grandmothers, aunties, godparents and friends who want to give something lovely and lasting — but don't always know which of the hundred lookalike products to choose. littlefolk gives them an answer, in one place, that mum has already loved.
